With all due respect, I think that everything on that list are toys, not oscilloscopes,
How do you define that? How can you recognize a "toyscope"?
sometime we refer "toy" as something cheap. but if it serves our purpose, then its a usefull toy. dishonest spec is something else. what is useless to you doesnt mean useless to others, so keep your personal preferences to yourself.

Here's few you could add:
- Fnirsi DSO Pro
- Hanmatek HO52-50M etc. (Owons with a new case)
- Tooltop ET829
- BSIDE O1
- GVDA GD188

Quite a few in the list have rebadged versions. Maybe they could be added:
- Zoyi ZT-702S: Aneng AOS02, BSIDE ZT-702S, Richmeters 702S
- Multicomp (rebranded Owons)
- many of the Tooltops, GVDAs, MusTools, etc. have rebrands

The ZEEWEII DSO2512G also has video out.  I like this feature.  I don't know of any other in this price range with video out capabilities.

Let's see, don't crucify me, I mean that they are oscilloscopes that are generally very inaccurate in measurements and/or very simple, that they lack basic options, etc., if you are clear about that then go ahead and buy it, but you must know what you buy , because sometimes for a little more you get much better things.
I say this because I regretted buying a cheap oscilloscope and lost money with it.

for example you have this
https://www.batronix.com/shop/oscilloscopes/Rigol-DS1102Z-E.html
for  291€

or this
https://www.batronix.com/shop/oscilloscopes/Siglent-SDS1202X-E.html
for 344€

Off topic. The title is "Portable Oscilloscopes List (cheap)".

Can't a single thread do without a Riglent or Sigol recommendation for once?  ;)

That said, I have never regretted buying my DSO2512G. Not for a second.
It doesn't measure inaccurately either, if you stay within the limits.

The table in post #1 really needs a column for FFT

From that list I would buy the owon or at least the hantek

The table in post #1 really needs a column for FFT
Some Fnirsis (DPOX180H, 1013D) and some Zeeweiis (DSO3D12, DSO2512G, DSO1511G) can display an FFT graph, but nothing more.
No dedicated window, no scale, no specific cursor, no specific settings. All of them, as far as I know.
This may not be completely useless, but even the cheapest benchtop oscilloscope can do much more.
Attached are pictures of the Zeeweii DSO2512G and the Hantek DSO2C10 (benchtop, for comparison).

With all due respect, I think that everything on that list are toys, not oscilloscopes, perhaps the only one that is saved is the owon or the hantek and even so they are very basic models from brands that are on the limit of professional.
OTOH all of the scopes in the list are very more capable compared to the -brand new- 20MHz analog scope I started out with as a teenager. And I got that scope as a very expensive birthday gift. If you are on a budget, the scopes in the list are a much better buy compared to getting an old analog scope from Ebay.

There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

I agree, adding a column saying it has FFT functionality based on scope specifications can be misleading if the feature is useless, without having that specific scope to try it or confirmation from owners that it has the most basic features I don't adventure to add it.

An addition, ToolTop ET120.  Unusable. $50.

I have an Owon HDS272S and while not as convenient as full size scope does the job very well.

Thanks for taking the time to compile the list.

Have Fun!

Thank you for the compilation!
Just a suggestion, you might include the Zoyi ZT-703s.

Hello, this was requested some time ago and when I looked for it, it was't available anywhere yet to purchase.
I see on the https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/new-zoyi-multimeteroscilloscopes-zt-70xs-up-to-50mhz250msps-(nov-2022)/125/ topic that people are already receiving the first units. There is no reviews or teardowns still, so I can not fill the real bandwidth or the hardware info. I would only recommend buying it to oscilloscope enthusiasts that want a new specimen on their collection, as is pretty new and firmware seems to have some bugs. Anyway I will try to update the list soon.

Does anyone know a "cheap" scope with Time based triggers or Trigger delay. To check timing or stretched chain/belt on a car looking at cam/crack signals requires to trigger on TDC or special notch and see the coloration between the two signal as they drift. With normal edge or level trigger its impossible to get a stable picture.

is the function generator of the ZeeWeii DSO able to generate a variable duty cycle square wave, say at 10..100Khz?
if yes, with a duty cycle from 1% to 99%?

let me know  :)

Yes you can, but keep in mind the generator has a fixed voltage output, all signals are from 0 to 2.5V an can't be adjusted

Show video pls

Time to add the Zoyi/Zotek ZT-703S to the list?
It has been reviewed by e.g. Dave, Defpom and Tony Albus.

The 703 scope has lots of issues on the current v1.2.7 firmware. Some units shipped with v1.2.8, but I did not hear the 1.2.7 issues were fixed in 1.2.8

Nice list, but I'm little confused at one of the results.  How were these tested?  In particular I tested the Zeeweii 154Pro to 18MHz without an issue.  It had not even gone 3dB down by that point.  How many test results is your listing based on and what specifically was the test equipment/setup?  Every single video I have seen testing this scope the people testing it did not terminate the 50 ohm coax coming from a 50 ohm FG properly (with 50 ohms) at the scope end.  Just straight in to the scope.  At 18MHz that makes a huge difference.

I also have a DSO3D12 coming and will test it properly as well.

Hello @BillyO, I don't own this devices nor the equipment to properly measure them, I extracted the information from multiple YouTube channels, mostly from @EEVblog, @KerryWongBlog and @TechCornerTV, if you can provide more accurate values for them I will happily update the list.

I've just started testing on the DSO3D12, but if you go to time 15:34 of the video below you will see my test of the Zeeweii 154Pro.

Or better still, watch the whole thing and the Part 1 video too.
