Siglent SDS2104X Plus fake split screen image
« on: February 26, 2023, 07:36:29 pm »
Hello,

I looked at all the menu items on my oscilloscope and the datasheet for a split screen view like below image. But I couldn't find any path. Split screen only exists for FFT.

Anyway, is this a marketing image, or can the screen be made like this with a logic analyzer?

Thanks.

Yes it can.

You have full freedom to adjust analog channels vertical positions and scale.  And some amount limited freedom for adjust digital channels height and position.

You can also adjust the height of the digital channel tracks to leave room for the analog channels for display in free area. But they can also be stacked on top of each other, because sometimes it can be more convenient to show the time correlation of an analog signal with some digital channel when they are just stacked overlaid of each other. According to the needs of the users... But of course there is not quite a complete arbitrary degree of freedom. Example, digital channels height can not separately adjust for individual digital

EV of course. Cars with smoke exhaust pipes - go to museum.

Ok, how can I do that?

I know I can position the analog channel as I want. Sometimes it's very useful to stack them on top of each other as you said.

But, how can I make the height limit of the digital channels? I didn't find any way to do that on the menu. Vertical limits buttons not working when digital channel selected. Thanks.
