Title: Siglent SDS2202X-E Roll Pk-Pk Bug?
Post by: 7thSenpai on October 22, 2021, 10:27:29 pm
I believe there is a bug in roll mode. Incorrect pk-pk measurement. If anyone with the same scope could varify..

Software Version 1.1.20 R3
FFPGA Version 2021-03-17

Conditions:
-Set to 50ms/div in roll mode
-Turn on pk-pk measurement
-Attach probe directly to power supply leaving the PS on
-Turn off scope.
-Turn on scope.

Seems to be affected in any roll mode (50ms/div or higher).

The measurement gets corrected if you turn off roll mode and turning back on.

Hi 7thSenpai,

I'm with an SDS2352X-E of same software and FPGA version. I can confirm your findings about pk-pk measurement.

I must honestly admit it's the first time I use roll mode.

Francis

EDIT : I was too fast, seems my pk-pk value is the ripple wich maybe correct. I will test again with different voltage.

Hello FrancisM,

Thank you. :)

Roll mode is really great love the feature! The bug is not serious but it gave me a slight heart attack looking at pk-pk values next morning.
