Siglent SDS2350X Plus trigger issue with edge rate
« on: September 22, 2020, 09:07:55 pm »
Just got the SDS2350X Plus and put my SDG2042 into a high impedance channel on the scope. Set it to 1s rep rate pulse at 10% duty cycle. Edge rate was 8.5nS default.  Amplitude set to 8V high and 0V low. Triggered at 4V. Set falling edge but it will only trigger at the leading edge.  If I dial up the slope to 18nS with falling edge triggering set it will start to jump from leading to falling edge trigger.  Anything past 18nS rise/fall and it triggers where it should. Rising or Falling.

What gives?  Can't be any simpler than that.

Try using normal trigger mode, auto is probably issuing additional triggers on such a slow waveform.

Just tried this with the SDS2102X Plus and in Auto trigger mode it's bouncing all over the screen. Change to Normal trigger mode and it's locked on the edge, whichever you've selected rising or falling.
