Siglent SDS800 series averaging- not?
Conrad Hoffman:
Even our bottom-of-the-line Tek scopes at work have trace averaging. I vaguely remember a range of 2-64 or similar. This can be handy for suppressing noise. The noise averages to near zero, while the signal builds up, assuming you have a solid trigger for the signal. I don't see anything like this on my Siglent. Just not an available feature? Maybe someday in a firmware upgrade? Or am I not looking in the right place?
tautech:
Averaging is a Math operation, you'll find it in the Math menu. ;)

You'll find this in the Math Functions where you can set the Average Source, Number and Scale Factor.
Wonderful little DSOs these SDS800 HDs, hard to believe the performance and features for the $.
You made a great choice :-+
Edit: See Rob beat me to it ;)
You can even do the Average of another Math function by section of the Math Function as the Source for the Average, like the Average of the C1 Squared or the Average of C1*C2 (Handy for Power Measurements).
Here's an example of the Average of C1*C1 of a complex waveform captured by C1.
Best

You can also create complex math formulas in single math channel - it has formula editor.

Thanks! I kept thinking it would be under Acquire.
