I have successfully updated my firmware, the DAV format has now been replaced with CSV.

The only other difference i can see is that there is an extra page on channel setup. You can now choose the unit volt or current and something called skew? (between -100nS and +100nS)

Is it not the same as adjusting the M position?

Well i have a had play around with my firmware updated SHS806 and its been a disappointment.

Here is the list.

1. CSV trend file needs timestamps for the samples. (see attached csv's below)
Multimeter Trend
2. Scope Trend. Had this running for a while and after around 1hr 40mins the trigger level started to move up all on its own (along with beeping) and then it decided to save the file all by itself! There is something really screwed up with this feature, i left it running all night and in the morning the unit would not wake up out of screen saver mode. So i powered it down and when i switched it back on the siglent splash screen came up with the scope screen slowly revealing itself slowly by one column of pixels at a time left to right across the screen. The USB stick was also flashing away all night at about 2 sec intervals. Oh and as you can see below the csv is screwed up as well.

3. Multimeter Trend. Seemed to work fine at first but then if you move the cursor around you get peaks in the trend which you can reproduce (see BMP below testing a battery) Also when trying the other keys you can get the 4.181V i was measuring to instantly turn into 4.181mV or even 100K ohms!!!

4. BMP saving. The image saved sometimes does not have the waveform displayed on the screen. (see below)

On Siglents website they say they are breaking into Flukes territory with these handheld scopes well i am sorry but you have a long way to go. I class myself as a novice user but they should pray that Dave or mikeselctricstuff doesn't do a teardown of these models as they would surely find other things wrong with these units.

There seems to be a new firmware 3.01.02.02R2 for the SHS806 http://www.siglent.com/ENs/gjjrj.aspx?id=15 but the link for the 60/100/150MHz versions leads to the SHS1000 firmware. Maybe this can be corrected by Siglent.

The FW for the SHS800 is the same as for the SHS1000 now.
