Siglent SVA1015X Hack?
js671:
Hi folks,
Long time reader, first time poster - sorry!!
Had anyone come up with a Rigol style hack to enable all the options (or reset the trial countdowns) on the SVA1015X. I haven't seen anything around, there is a file hack for the SSA series (I think) but not sure if thats the same software.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum.
Have a careful look here:

And there's also some clues later on in the SVA1015X thread.

Thanks Tautech.
The SSA3xxx hack is confirmed working on the SVA1015X & enables all options except the DTF & VNA with the permanent license :-DD
Now, does anyone know the trick for the VNA & DTF without spending £££s? I'm off to look at that thread you sent over!
SW1 2.1.1.1.12.a
SW2 20180701-0
SW3 0000000CA
HQ 02.01.00
plug in FAT32 formatted USB memory stick (to take a backup).
telnet to SSA30xxX

cd /
cp -R /usr/bin/siglent/usr/backup /usr/bin/siglent/usr/mass_storage/U-disk0/SA-backup
cp -R /usr/bin/siglent/firmdata0 /usr/bin/siglent/usr/mass_storage/U-disk0/SA-firmdata0
mount -o remount,rw /dev/ubi2_0 /usr/bin/siglent/firmdata0
cd /usr/bin/siglent/firmdata0
mv NSP_sn_bandwidth.xml NSP_sn_bandwidthx.xml
mv NSP_trends_config_info.xml NSP_trends_config_infox.xml
mv nsp_data_b nsp_data_bx
cd /usr/bin/siglent/usr/backup
mv NSP_sn_bandwidth.xml NSP_sn_bandwidthx.xml
mv NSP_trends_config_info.xml NSP_trends_config_infox.xml
mv nsp_data_b nsp_data_bx
cd /
sync
logout

After applying the SSA procedure above I have everything except the VNA & DTF - those are still counting down the trial. This leads me to believe that the licence info / file to liberate is not one of the usual XML files from the SSA & that the SVA needs slightly different tactics, but despite a lot of thread reading on here I’ve not yet found them. :palm:
Also tried today to replace the licence info removing the Lower case ‘t’ and changing the remain figure - all that did was throw everything else back to trial. Damn.

Hi js671,
have you found a better solution for hacking the SNA1015X?
