Siglent SVA1015X Hack?

Hi folks,

Long time reader, first time poster - sorry!!

Had anyone come up with a Rigol style hack to enable all the options (or reset the trial countdowns) on the SVA1015X. I haven't seen anything around, there is a file hack for the SSA series (I think) but not sure if thats the same software.

The SSA3xxx hack is confirmed working on the SVA1015X & enables all options except the DTF & VNA with the permanent license   

Now, does anyone know the trick for the VNA & DTF without spending £££s? I'm off to look at that thread you sent over!

After applying the SSA procedure above I have everything except the VNA & DTF - those are still counting down the trial. This leads me to believe that the licence info / file to liberate is not one of the usual XML files from the SSA & that the SVA needs slightly different tactics, but despite a lot of thread reading on here I’ve not yet found them. 

Also tried today to replace the licence info removing the Lower case ‘t’ and changing the remain figure - all that did was throw everything else back to trial. Damn.

Could you confirm what was purchased when you are referring to the SVA1015X model (in terms of base device + options)? Asking because as of 9/23/2019, it looks like Siglent North America ships SVA1015X with the VNA option included.

Curious if you are saying that you can use it as an SA up to 7.5G, but as a VNA only up to 1.5G due to the license lock? I could be reading this wrong, and your case is that you haven't purchased the VNA license prior to the hack, and did not have any VNA ability beforehand.

Jumped the gun on this. I had assumed that Siglent had the same hardware across the SVA1000X line and was software locking their devices. My questions are irrelevant now

Welcome to the forum.

All SVA models now have VNA mode standard out of the box. It is no longer an additional option.
There are 3 models, SVA1015X, 1032X and 1075X.
Their respective BW's 1.5, 3.2 and 7.5 GHz are also their SA rating.
All 3 models have small differences in HW so their is no upgrade path from a lesser model.

I own only the VNA feature.
I read it's possible to enable some more feature.
Can anybody help me in doing that even not for free?

I successfully unlocked all features off a SVA1032X (converted from a SSA3021X Plus) by using the procedure described in post #1224 inside the thread

From my understanding, admittedly quite limited, this procedure could also be suitable for the SVA1015X model.

Before I did it, I read all related threads I found inside this forum to understand what I am doing. This is also my advice to you.

I was wondering if anyone has completed this hack and kept the original Serial number. I’ve searched several times and found that it has been hacked but no serial number. I’m not even sure if the serial number matters or not as I’ve had this unit for several years and is out of warranty.

Has anybody got the python script: "Keygen for Siglent Spectrum Analyzers.py" to work and generate option keys for SAV1015X that actually work?
Trying it on my SVA1015X with firmware version: 3.2.2.5.1R1
I got the "SCOPID" value from the analyzer and input it into the python script.
Ran the script and it out put the 5 keygen strings.
But trying to enter them on the SVA1015X always gives "Invalid License" error?

OK I got it to work.
You need to carefully read the instructions within the python source file !!

Hi all.

I haven't programmed in decades, and then in Fortran. I have the keygen source from the link. I downloaded and installed Python. I ran Python and Idle. I opened the keygen file in Idle. I ran it as is and it gives some keys, all be them wrong.

I gather I need to get the SCOPEID from the instrument itself. I don't have one yet. I gave SCOPEID a dummy value (123456789) in the program. I copied the correct model from the list of four and pasted that into the program. I ran the program again and it gives me different keys, as expected.

Is that correct? It seems pretty straightforward.

I am interested in the DMA, digital modulation analysis. I dabble in digital amateur TV DATV, mainly DVB-T. And trying to understand digital modulation from a course I did 40 years ago. Particularly eye and constellation diagrams.
