I am a technical support engineer from Siglent, and so glad to offer effective technical support, trouble-shooting and problem solving for all Siglent products.

Also, we will appreciate if you could share your experiences and some improvement suggestions with us.

Hi Jason,

Is there a update of the SDS800XHD coming in the next few months? The scope has quite a few bugs and issues that need to be resolved in my opinion. (See my signature)

Jason hasn't been with Siglent NA for a few years!!

Just talked with Siglent NA today, we have an issue with an older DSO probe. This is an older DSO probe, well out of the warranty period, Siglent could have said, "sorry but that's been discontinued and well out of warranty", and this was what we expected!!

However, Siglent NA is handing the issue with a replacement of a discontinued out of warranty probe :clap:

I would like a device that can do everything I want it to do, and for pocket money.
And if I find something on the device that I think isn't right, then the manufacturer of this cheap device had better drop everything and make sure that the device can do everything I want it to do.
If they don't, it's a shame, considering how little I paid for it to do everything.
I personally now have a collection of devices at home, the individual value of which easily runs into the tens of thousands—and none of them are perfect.
I don't mention this in my signature, nor do I whine about it, because I know the realities.
Get over it or just leave it alone.

Well his account was last used in august this year, so i posted here, when i found this topic.

I have worked together with electronics hobbyist on a many issues, but he hasnt come back yet. It seems his work on this forum (for siglent?) has been finished.


I believe, replacing a probe wouldnt fix a single issue from my list.

There must be a Siglent website that serves your location.  They more than likely have a page where you can place a request.  Whenever I do this at Siglent NA (the website that serves my geographic location), I either get a phone call or an email either the same day or next, and I am absolutely nobody.  Did you try that?

No one said this. I was talking about the Siglent SDS800X HD series. Sorry to have confused you.

I did that, but there is not much progress to be seen here yet. Maybe they are focusing on a answer to Rigols MHO98?

No one said this. I was talking about the Siglent SDS800X HD series. Sorry to have confused you.

You said this. Mike mentioned Siglent taking care of an issue with a probe, which was his experience. Your mention of the probe attempted to make it about you.

You should try contacting Siglent directly with your issues. Or a therapist.
