sigrok an Rigol DS1000Z series: good and bad

So, Sigrok seems to have support for the Rigol DS1000Z series, see here.

Unfortunately I don't have a Rigol DSO on hands to verify.
I would like to buy a DS1104Z (100MHz), but only if I can control it from an embedded linux board over ethernet.

I need to dump two channels, as fast as possible.

Feedbacks? Comments?

You might want to determine what "as fast as possible" is as a minimum requirement.
It could be multiple seconds to complete over USB: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ethernet-transfer-speed-for-rigol-ds2072a-and-ds4014/

If faster data is required, look into picoscope or DScope, etc.
Profile -> Modify profile -> Look and Layout ->  Don't show users' signatures

I tried PulseView (which is based on Sigrok) with a DS1054Z a few months ago and it was not really usable. The timescale was wrong and changing the memory length didn't work. It is possible that this was a specific problem with my setup or that it has been fixed in the meantime.

But of course, you could just control it directly using SCPI. If you just want to target one specific device using Sigrok is probably not worth it.
