Nice specs. 60K counts. At $575 MSRP, it's in the price range of a Fluke 87-V with some nice upgrades. Looking forward to seeing some reviews.

Like any good USA corporation of the lately, they simply rebrand ...

https://www.lumel.com.pl/en/catalogue/product/true-rms-digital-multimeter-with-data-logging-view-function-bluetooth-n15b

Mind, you it, it might be a good product. Or not. I don't know anybody that has it.

But as Lumel it is much cheaper...

It's actually not that much cheaper: $488USD from TME as Lumel or $541USD from Newark.com as Simpson.

The arrangement seems similar to Brymen & Greenlee.  TME won't let you buy the Lumel if you're in the US.

OEM for this meter is Rishabh Instruments Pvt. Ltd. in India. They used to be an OEM for Gossen Metrawatt. There is more info about them in some thread on this forum.

Calling @joeqsmith .....

They claim it meets 61326 so it may hold up to my basic tests.   No conductance mode but has some stupid squarewave output.  It does have a RTC to help shorten the 100 hour battery life.  Of course, BLE.  I didn't see any sort of documentation on how to interface with it assuming you wanted to roll your own software.

I'm not so sure about this external power adapter.   One reason I would use a handheld meter is for true isolation.  If that is not important and I am running a long test like they mention, I am using the bench meter with the PC.  I would not be surprised if I couldn't damage their supply with some of my tests.

I have the low cost meters along with a decent one that I have yet to look at.  I have no plans to add to the collection until I get through those.   Guessing some of the large channels will get to this one fairly soon.

Color me skeptical. Past glories cannot predict future success. To use an analogy, Kodak used to be the World’s leader in image technology. What if nowadays it brought out a DSLR to complete against the Japanese companies?

Me, the curmudgeon!  >:D

Over the decades (1970-1980's) I've owned many Simpson products (DMM's, Panel Meters, etc.) and they were all built well but all were manufactured with somewhat dated technology & processes. Absolute accuracy was never a strong suit of Simpson nor, was there any appeal to markets other than heavy industrial/government.

Here's their validated corporate statement:
"Our team at Simpson Electric has focused on providing a quality product for our buyers. Our brand continues to show resilience by growing and adapting to the manufacturing industry that is today. The durability and craftsmanship reflected in our products show that we care about our customers and appreciate the business they provide to our company. At Simpson Electric, we want to make it well known that we always back our work and are a phone call away to any customer worldwide if there is ever an issue that arises. We also continue to instill the need for community by reinvesting into the business locally to ensure that our products remain 100% “Made in the USA.” Our main goal is to keep jobs local and improve our economic impact on the community right here in the Northwoods while providing a superior product.
Simpson Electric"

Well, their new DMM's are obviously NOT MADE IN USA. Makes ya wunda?

They look nice and have lots of interesting features for meters in the $100 - $200 range but, after reading the detailed specifications, facts like their measurement "uncertainty" tables reveal possibly poor shielding performance and many areas of LSD ambiguity which, when compared to other 50,000-count DMM's, tell me that the usability of displayed readings is only accurate to about 5,000 counts. If my initial understanding of their specs is correct, I can buy imported meters with similar performance for about 80 bucks, NOT $575.00!

Give me my FLUKE 87V's for $500, any day.  At least they won't electrocute me!  :-DD
