I recently got myself a Hantek 6022BE and I am pleased with it.
I skimmed through the multi page thread on the 6022BE (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/hantek-6022be-20mhz-usb-dso/) and found several posts with links to software with improvements over the official Hantek app.
The links to the different software options are scattered throughout the thread, which makes them hard to find. I combined them all on one page, and included the very nice Hscope Android app to the list, which now contains:
- The official Hantek app
- Open6022BE
- BasicScope
- OpenHantek
- sigrok / pulseview
- Hscope for Android, which is my personal favorite.
All 6 can be found here, together with their download links: Six Software Apps to use with the Hantek 6022BE (https://rudysmodelrailway.wordpress.com/2019/09/13/hantek-6022be-usb-oscilloscope-and-6-scope-software-apps-to-go-with-it/)

Have you any idea why the OpenHantek driver install would immediately BSOD a clean Win 7 system?
I would like to use the newest version 2.14 but some pointers on installing the driver on a 64-bit system would be nice..
-
I have no idea why that happens Cliff. I haven't used the OpenHantek .inf myself, I installed a driver using the Zadig app ... maybe you can try that route yourself and see what happens?
-
Hi Cliff,
just follow the advice of raxis13 and use Zadig:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/hantek-6022be-20mhz-usb-dso/msg2563869/#msg2563869 (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/hantek-6022be-20mhz-usb-dso/msg2563869/#msg2563869)
If you want to use OpenHantek6022 (that is using libusb as low level driver) the Original Hantek driver does not work because OpenHantek6022 uses an improved firmware with additional functions that the old Hantek driver does not support.
e.g. you can select the frequency of the calibration output between 50 Hz and 100 kHz instead of only 1 kHz and you have a real working one-channel-mode (CH1 only) with high sample rate of 30 MHz _without_ dropping a lot of samples (due to the USB timing you can not transmit two channels with 30 MSamples or more (this is described in the "big 6022 thread": https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/hantek-6022be-20mhz-usb-dso/msg659605/#msg659605 (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/hantek-6022be-20mhz-usb-dso/msg659605/#msg659605) )

P.S.: OpenHantek6022 is the only SW for this scope that is maintained actively (by me) and where you have the chance to submit feature requests that are fulfilled ;) Please have a look at the issue tracker: https://github.com/OpenHantek/OpenHantek6022/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aclosed (https://github.com/OpenHantek/OpenHantek6022/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aclosed)

Hunted down and deleted every bit of Hantek Mfg. software. Yes, now running 2.14 beautiful software, thank you!!
Here's Ch1 and 2 looking at both sides of an isolated CT transformer with dimmer. Looks pretty spiffy on a 28" LCD :)

I have an 8-core Samsung 10" tablet for Hscope. I have a USB2Go adapter so I'll give it a try... but I will connect the red USB from the scope into a separate USB power bank since I don't think the tablet will have 500ma available.
-
Hi Cliff, nice that you got it working now. With regard to Hscope and your Samsung tablet, a battery pack is never a bad idea, although I have used it on my Samsung S5e tablet and on my LG phone and on both it worked without additional power.

I will connect the red USB from the scope into a separate USB power bank...
This is also my setup together with my Motorola phone - at least a sensible use for the strange Y-cable.

For those who are interested ... a video about the Hscope for Android app that can be used together with the Hantek 6022BE USB scope module, and with many other hardware modules.

I really want to get this s/w to work with my DSO 5000 series Scope.
Which version should I try with ?. Which driver ?.
The default app by hantek is really crap.
I tried to chk out the DSO2000 series s/w but was unable to get it to run as a DLL file was missing.
