My counter works very well to monitor my old Heathkit HG-10 VFO but when powered down I have to always select 2Ero before it will start accurately displaying the frequency. Is there any way to permanently select 2Ero so I don't have to select it every time?

I have no idea what 2Ero means and it looks like I'm not the only one.

It is one of the selections on the PCB via a push button.

Yes. OP meant "Zero" option displayed on 7-segment display.
