Title: Soldering Iron Questions
Post by: epic_ziver_D on January 18, 2019, 10:02:25 pm
I was unable to find any information about this,
What is the difference between TS-100 and SainSmart ToolPAC PRO32?
And what is better to buy, a TS-100 or one of these http://bit.ly/2DtoywS (http://bit.ly/2DtoywS) or some banggood FX-951/888D knockoff (I can't really get a real one cuz cheapest I can get one where I live is at least 170$ which I cannot afford rn)
And in terms of tips, if I get a TS-100 should I buy the TS-100 shorter tips or will long ones do? and if I get T12 Hakko tips should I get original ones or are knockoff ones fine?
These are a few questions which  I have been having a hard time finding a good answer to and would really appreciate any help

EDIT: I just noticed I put this in the wrong topic, no idea how to move it...

The SainSmart ToolPAC PRO32 is a derivate of the TS-100. There is no difference despite the different name. The KSGER T12 Digital Temperature Controller Soldering Station is as far as I can say (don't own one) a good tool especially for the price. I personally own a TS-100 and Hakkp FX951 knockoff and some older Ersas. I like the Hakko knockoff and use it as my daly tool. The TS-100 I only use if I have a good reason to do, it has not much power and isn't very handy. What I am missing with the Hakko knockoff is a standby mode.

Looking for the best price/function factor I think the KSGER T12 would be the best decision. The knockoff Tips I use with the Hakko and TS-100 are doing fine for me.
