Source for 600 or 630 mA, 1000 V, 6 x 32 mm fuses?
« on: March 04, 2015, 06:11:40 pm »

I have a GW Instek multimeter, and one of its fuses has the following specs: 600 mA, 1000 V, ceramic, 6 x 32 mm, fast blow.  The one that is in it was made by Hollyland.  Siba makes a 630 mA fuse with other specs the same.  After a lot of searching, I haven't found a source for small quantities of these fuses.  I tried eBay, Amazon, Google, Digikey, Mouser, Allied, McMaster and a few other sites.  I have some at 500 mA with other specs the same.  Any ideas?

The 630mA fuse or the 500mA fuses will be fine. If you use the 500mA fuse it will just blow a bit sooner than the 600mA. The 630mA fuse will probably be not much different for all practical purposes than the 600mA.

I would just use the 500Ma fuses you have on hand until you can find the correct and sufficiently inexpensive replacements. You might not even need to replace the 500mA.

I haven't been able to find a source for small quantities of either the Hollyland 600 mA or Siba 630 mA fuses.  And yeah, I'll just use 500 mA if the 600 mA blows if I have to.  Thanks.

3roomlab,

Thanks for looking.   Eska does make ceramic 630 mA, 6 x 32 mm fuses (not necessarily the ones in the link), but they are 500 V max.  The fuses in the second link are either 500 V or less, or of unstated voltage.

Well, the taobao website has the right fuses.  But even running it through a translate website, I can't figure out how to order.  Then there is the matter of secure payment.  Siba appears to have a factory in China, but there could also be fake Siba fuses there too.
