Stand/Holder for Fluke 289 DMM
« on: July 22, 2023, 03:40:26 pm »

Hi Guys,

I own a Fluke 289, and I am looking for a stand/holder for it.

The stand that comes with it (on the back) is a absolute piece of crap ....

Short of wasting lots of time and 3D printing one, any pointers ?

Would be nice to find a holder that is off the desk - e.g. can be attached
to a shelf and have the DMM "suspended in air" ...

Thanks,
luudee

My plan is to use magnetic holders, hangers etc. since I'm working on getting a bench with a steel backplane.
I have taken apart more gear than many people. But I have put less gear back together than most people. So there is still room for improvement.

Fluke's "TPAK" (or 3rd party clones) straps/magnetic hanger should snap right into the back of the 289.  Also, any strap narrow enough to thread through the TPAK receptacle should work just as well.

Then you can hang it with a magnet, off of a rod, or even a nail.

Thank you guys !

I totally forgot about that strip with the magnet !

I already use magnets all over the place to hold my tools and misc items.

Cheers,
luudee
