Strange pattern on R&S RTB2004 screen (powered off)
« on: September 05, 2021, 07:36:06 am »
Recently I started to see an unusual pattern on the screen of my RTB2004, also when turned off.

Looks like hexagonal pads. I never glued anything to the screen, like a screen protector.

Might want to check with R&S, but was wondering if others have had similar issues?

That will likely turn out to be a screen defect. It looks like the some part of the screen assembly is coming apart, maybe the digitizer is delaminating from the actual display.
Everybody likes gadgets. Until they try to make them.

Yes, that’s what came to my mind too. Like this scope, would not like to have to send it off for repairs, but I probably need to do that after all…
