Global Specialties RC-10 Resistance/Capacitance Decade Box

Having already owned 2 decades boxed, 1 capacitance and 1 resistance I found this helpful device. It's a passive Resistance, Capacitance or RC Series or Parallel decade box with a decent selection of resistors and capacitors with much higher power ratings than my other boxes. All the resistors have a max rating of up to 1W and all capacitors are rated up 600V. The unit allows for just R or C plus switchable RC configurations in series or parallel. The 10% tolerance is a bit higher than I would like but not too bad, it does the job. The metal enclosure is solid and about as wide as a standard piece of bench equipment and about 4-5 inches deep. The test leads it comes with are just too short for my needs so I just use a longer pair I already have. The rotary switch feels tight and of a decent quality. The tolerances all seemed to be well within their specified range with many being spot on. This will be a very helpful additional to my testing and development kit, for a 160 US dollars it has good flexibility for a passive device. They also include a full schematic which is a nice touch. Very helpful.

Now that is a cool device.  I would get one right now if I didn't have so many things lined up to get done.
