| Tagarno microscope 9 way DSUB controller pinout |
| (1/1) |
| bobof:
Just picked up a total bargain Tagarno IBIS HD on eBay - which appears to basically be the same as the ZIP minus the OSD. It has some special function colour palettes for contrast enhancement / inversion to aid visual impaired folks - it was sold as a visual aid originally. It's fitted with the same No.4 lens and has the same ~250mm working distance. Looks like it will be a great addition to the lab for what I paid for it (£130!!!). It didn't come with the controller (was apparently optional at the time, according to the manual). Been quoted a ridiculous £450 for it as a replacement part. OK, so it's using a MEC Navimec switch set, but unless the thing is gold plated, it ain't worth that! How complicated can 5 buttons attached to a DSUB be, right? Has anyone either found a pinout or torn down / reverse engineered one of these controllers for doing some custom control etc? There are 5 buttons on the factory controller, but actually on this model for my application only the zoom +/- are useful (maybe adding a 3rd button to press them both simultaneously and switch to manual focus mode). I'd love to add remote zoom / focus control to it. |
