Title: TC1 Colour Display Transistor Tester - 2.12k Firmware available?
Post by: Chris56000 on October 25, 2017, 03:06:08 pm
Hi!

A colleague at work gave me one of those little cream-cased TC1 Transistor Testers with the colour display and I fear he accidentally damaged it with a charged capacitor!

This is the Chinese Version with the yellow PCB & SMPSU for measuring zeners > 5.6V - see p24 -25 of Karl Heinz's Manual dated 28-2-2017.

Y.T. Videos show a picture of the leaflet that comes packed with many of these refers to "V2.12k" - does anyone know:-

1) Is a schematic available or is it a drawing-out job?

2) Is the 2.12k firmware available to program into a new AtMega324?

I've had a look on:-

https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/ (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/)$20-lcr-esr-transistor-checker-project/3675/

but mention of v2 firmware seems to elude me!

Should I just bin it or are the resources available - it'd be a handy introduction to ATMega programming for me!
