| TDS2022B should I get it |

Hello everyone. So I'm new here and facing the wall right now. I recently got a chance to buy TDS2022B without a probe for 400USD and the big question is: should I get it? Or are there any better and newer alternatives? That will be my first "real scope" because I had handheld ones and do have an old analog Tektronix TAS 455 60Mhz but I do want to buy something above 100Mhz. Thank you for all your help! |

Thank you for the reply! Are there any better alternatives for around the same price? |

If you have the money, then the Siglent SDS1104X-E for 500€. For beginners (and everyone else) it is a nice scope with a lot of useful features for a fair price. Just the bandwidth is limited. If you want to measure high frequency signals, it would be the wrong scope. There is already a very long thread for this scope in this forum with all necessary and way more information. You will also find a lot of youtube videos about this model. It is very popular. If it is too expensive, I would recommend the Rigol DS1054Z for 400€. But if you have the additional 100€ it would be worth to buy the Siglent scope. |
