Title: Teardown of the ESI 585K multimeter?
Post by: GeekPriest on October 06, 2015, 08:50:14 pm
My latest issue of Family Handyman is suggesting the ESI 585K multimeter as a good choice for household and automotive work. It's $88 at Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/ESI-585K-Deluxe-Automotive-DMM/dp/B000JFHMR0 (http://www.amazon.com/ESI-585K-Deluxe-Automotive-DMM/dp/B000JFHMR0) ). For that price, compared to the appearance of the thing, I'm skeptical.

Has anyone torn one down? Any idea of the real manufacturer?

The case and the display and the knob looks like my old Mastech multimeter, the MY series looked just like that.
