I really like your review page. It's great that you keep the format essentially the same for all reviews, that makes it very easy to compare 2 different meters.

This is a great multimeter review resource. Thank you very much.

I had been looking at the Brymen BM869s, but it seems the Greenlee DM-860A is generally more available in the USA (maybe easier to get proper warranty support in the USA?).

https://www.greenlee.com/us/en/dmm-500k-counts-dm-860a-calib-dm-860a-c?w=2&c=167&b=86&t=6&r=30&p=1&lat=37.362107&lng=-121.982035&l=4&v=c

From the reviews linked from this thread, it appears that the MASTECH MS8218 quality and design may not be as solid as the Brymen or Greenlee?

I guess one could buy the Brymen BM869s here ($270?): https://www.welectron.com/Brymen-BM869s-Multimeter_1  But then the warranty might be an issue

Mastech is a typical Chinese multimeter, i.e. quality and safety is lower.

It is very seldom you need warranty on a multimeter, but if you want warranty, go for Greenlee, it is the same meter.

Welectron BM-869s Edition+ (adds Brymen case) is $225 delivered with the 5% EEVblog discount code.

Greenlee version is $313+shipping at https://www.tequipment.net/Greenlee/DM-860A/Multimeters/?v=0

Greenlee is the Brymen distributor in the USA but they have a big markup and a horrible color (IMHO).

But then the warranty might be an issue

You're very unlikely to ever need it, ie. It's certainly less than $100 of risk on your part.

(if it's DOA then I don't think Welectron will let you down)
