Best bench PSU for ~250$/1000 PLN?
« on: June 14, 2018, 11:04:25 am »
Hi there! I am looking for a good unit. I need unit capable of delivering 0-30V, 0-3A (but 0-5A would be nice). I'm searching in polish shops but most units look like rebranded crap. I thought about Rigol but as I found out on their website thier cheapest PSU cost almost 80% more than I can spend. Maybe you can propose me something good and reliable as it is going to be used in work quite extensively? Personally I would take a DIY approach as I usually do but  I have a lot to do other than that. Please, do help, please.

PS. I used a [Search] button, I found some clues but have to be absolutly 100% sure what to tell my boss to buy.

Any other requirements?  Programmable?  Remote Sense? Resolution?

@BillB
It doesn't have to be programmable and it doesn't have to be remote sense capable. I just want simple and reliable power supply. In terms of the resolution. 10mV and 100mA is enough for our use case.

@thanasisk, @radiolistener
I will take a look, thanks!

I have had a BK precision 1621A for about a decade and it has been rock solid and is very clean.  It’s gotten a lot of use and has never given me any trouble.

The BK 1627A looks like the same thing but meets your spec of 3A and 30V.
