| Tek DPO4000 / MSO4000 console port pinout? |

| Jwalling:
Hi, Does anyone happen to have the pinout for the console port on a Tek DPO4000 / MSO4000? I believe that it's J501. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/tektronix-dpo4054-stucked-at-tektronix-splash-screen/ I've PM'd him, but so far no reply... This DPO4034 doesn't even get the splash screen. Code appears to be executing from the boot flash. All internal voltages are good. Thanks! |

Did you find out where the serial console port is located? I have a similar issue with a DPO4054 :palm: |

Sorry for reviving this old thread but it was never officially answered and I wanted future users to have less of a headache finding the answer. This is the most straight-forward thread on the subject. Answer provided by ApertureScience in thread https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/tektronix-dpo4054-stucked-at-tektronix-splash-screen/25/ --- Quote from: ApertureScience on February 10, 2021, 01:28:07 pm ---The Tx Pin is located on the 20-pin connector at the bottom. With the screen facing up, its the 2nd pin in the first row... --- End quote --- I confirmed this worked on my MSO4104. |

This post also contains an image of the connector, and documents ground as the third pin. https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/tektronix-dpo4054-stucked-at-tektronix-splash-screen/msg3916490/#msg3916490 |
