Tek MSO 2024 bandwidth?
« on: July 27, 2016, 03:55:08 pm »
Datasheet for this scope:

http://www.tek.com/sites/tek.com/files/media/media/resources/MSO2000B-DPO2000B-Mixed-Signal-Oscilloscope-Datasheet-3GW284137.pdf

Scroll about halfway down, under "Specifications" (under both Model Overview and Vertical System Analog Channels) it states that the hardware is limited to 20 MHz for all models.

How can this scope function at (for example) 200 MHz with 20 MHz input circuitry? I don't get it.

Thanks.

What it says exactly is "Hardware bandwidth limits   -   20 MHz" which just mean that each channel has a 20MHz bandwidth limiter you can enable or not, like most scopes.

Ah, a bw limit switch.

Thanks.
