In fact, the info was already available in another thread...  |O
(although without mentioning the 'PacmanBuildView' that appears in the version popup)

Press the 'Select' button while powering it on, for quite a while, until it's completely started.
That brings new (and relatively self-explanatory) items in the Utility menus.

Have fun !

Nice! I wonder how much you can screw up the scope with this...  >:D

and to exit (Dev mode is persistent), found no other way than Utility -> Devel -> Dink SW -> Misc -> Devel Init

IIRC, that will reset to zero the No of power ups and operating hours. It was a while back but I think that's what happened to mine

But I couldn't find any other way to get rid of the Dev mode...

nobody really ever explored the firmware on these scopes. I am sure there must be a command that you can send from LAN
to enable/disable the dev mode. Such command exists on later models (DPO, MSO....) (DEV MOD 0,1 and MFG MOD 0,1) and I think it must have existed on these models too. I don't have the scope anymore but maybe someone can simply try these commands and see if they work

on the other hand, if it's for your own use, who cares ? You can either leave it in DEV mode forever, or just ignore that you'll have the counters wiped...
And in most of these good old boys, the NVRAM should be replaced anyway, time for a backup before playing around. ;-
