| Tek TDS3034B escope suddenly unreachable over ethernet |

| bschwand:
Hi all, I have a Tek TDS3034B scope that was working fine with escope, the web-based GUI. Suddenly I can not reach it, even though the network is good (I can ping the scope) and I can even still print scope screenshot to my network printer. So I am puzzled, the network is clearly still configured correctly. I tried to run nmap, and I see two ports open , 80 and 111. But any connection attempt to port 80 times out. Any idea what is going on ? I also tried erasing the NVRAM through the config menus, did not help. I saw some posts here about 3014 having network issues (losing MAC address) because of some battery backup ram going bad. But the MAC seems fine and unchanged... should I try to change that nvram ? how hard is that and which part would be appropriate to replace with ? Any help appreciated. Edit: this scope has a very low runtime (50 hours). I can see the MAC address is valid according to what is posted on this forum https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/tds-1000-2000-3000-bw-hack/msg4046458/#msg4046458 and time is kept running although has a very slow drift |
