Hi to All,
Seeing some Lab Tours on YouTube I noticed Tektronix 11K Mainframes working without the empty slots populated with these blank filler Plug-Ins. These are crucial in directing the airflow. These Blank Plug-Ins are only designed with this in mind. Not to create a platform to make your own Plug-In like the Kits for the 7000 and TM500 Series. Those have PWB's. The 016-0829-00's didn't have these and they never existed.

some places offer them in USA, but at 95$ USD ???

Not sure if this response is appropriate , if not advise
I have a very clean 016-0829-00

You can also use the 7K blank filler, it is just a front with plastic guides, works fine. 016-0155-00.

Is there any evidence for this idea that the filler panels are required? I have not noticed any temperature increase with my DSA602 or 11302 with some plugin slots empty. There is not a lot of air leaking out either.

The 11302 manual says the following on page 1-5:
A variable speed fan controls the air flow as temperature varies. To maintain
adequate cooling, all plug-in compartments must have an 11000 series plug-in
unit installed. If active plug-ins are not available, install blank plug-in units
(Tektronix Part No. 016-0829-00). Failure to comply with these ventilation
requirements violates conditions to which the advertised specifications (i.e.,
accuracy) apply.
And later on,
Blank plug-in units must be inserted in unused compartments to maintain proper
ventilation and compatibility with electromagnetic emissions,
susceptibility and accuracy specifications. Refer to the Optional Accessories
list in Appendix B at the rear of this manual for ordering information.
