Title: Tektronix 2230 display problem

(http://)Hi all!
New to the forum and hope someone encountered a similar problem.
When I start the scope up it shows the trace and switches over to what looks like a calibration display after about two seconds or sometimes immediately. I have only had it for a couple of days. Worked fine twice so far. I will try to attach an image.
Went through the manuals quickly but no luck. Will do some more thorough reading.
Seems like an error condition of some sort.

I had the same problem. This is what you get if you power up with one of the MEMORY switches pressed. It is easy to check by measuring the voltages at the inputs to U9301 and U9302 or at the switches themselves. It is easy to fix with switch cleaner and by operating the switches a few times.
