Tektronix 531A How fast is it and what plugins will it accept
Aperna1985:
I didn't see that little button to attach. Thanks.
So basically there's no way to see 90MC on my Tek 531A?
I attached the Schematic of the radio below.

That is the short answer. The Tektronix 531A only has a 15 MHz bandwidth. Usually an RF probe to measure the envelope is more suitable.

In theory a Tektronix 1S1 sampling plug-in can be installed to allow operation up to 1 GHz, however the chance of getting this to work with such old instruments is low so I do not recommend it, and sampling oscilloscope operation by itself even when everything works is not straightforward.

What equipment do I need for an RF probe and can you recommend one?
BrokenYugo:
A basic passive RF probe is a simple diode detector circuit. Maybe biased for better picking up small signals below the diode's forward voltage. Easy to DIY, you probably have enough parts to make one.

Aperna1985:
Oh I actually already have one. I tried it but there's literally no signal anywhere. If I use my signal generator I can pass through so I know the IF section and audio amp are working. I need to check the oscillator and I'll also need the scope for aligning the Oscillator
