Late 80's DIGITRON model 3228 K Thermometer
« on: May 18, 2016, 01:42:52 pm »
This particular type-K thermometer served me well over the past 2 decades. Unfortunately some intermittent readings on the Celcius selection started a while back, and now only the Fahrenheit selection side is working. I've contacted Digitron in the UK for a service manual / circuit diagram to assist in fault finding etc. The response was very quick, but (part of original message received):

"Hello  .............,

The Digitron 3228K model was discontinued back in the late 80’s.

I no longer have access to any documentation.

So unfortunately I cannot assist you.

If any of the members reading this and can assist on obtaining same, I will really appreciate. I know its not worth repairing, but I would like to get it back to working order, if possible - just for the sake of sentiment (images attached).
