I have recently found that one of my Tektronix P6139A probes has stopped working. Disassembly of probe has revealed that the cable has become an open circuit. I have tested the rest of the probe and it works fine when I swap in a cable from another probe. Obviously I'm not going to be able to just easily repair the cable to an acceptable level (let alone located the fault) so I wonder if I can find a cheaper replacement cable than having to buy a replacement probe. There are heaps of different Tektronix probes that appear to have very similar probe cable assemblies and wonder if anyone knows if another probe has a cable that will work with the P6139A attenuator and compensator?
