Tektronix TBS1000C released
« on: September 27, 2020, 11:12:20 pm »
TBS1000C was launched in 8/2020.

It has 20kpoints per channel but no video trigger. The scope is poor in general.

Any opinions?
Amazing machines. https://www.youtube.com/user/denha (It is not me...)

Looks like convection cooled.
Zero pics from above that might show slots in the case that can allow grud onto the PCB to start the corrosion that killed my TDS2012B.  :--

wow, 20K memory per channel, its like we are living in 2000 when RAM was still expensive.

I shudder to think what they plan to charge for this thing, ok just looked US$510 for base model no accessories. I wonder if anyone will buy it anyway, maybe someone who needs legacy compatibility?

Seems like they are targeting these for educational use, and at a 500$ price range for the entry model they are giving a fight to the Chinese.

The specs at the entry level are really basic, but in software they added their educational features and also FFT which does not increase the cost of the hardware.

Smart move I think

Would it really have been that hard to add a push button to reset the vertical position :-//

It has 20kpoints per channel but no video trigger.

Huh, the TBS1102B here has a video trigger option.

You would have to be complete muppet to buy this. For that kind of money they ask for it, you can buy Keysight 1000 series if you want brand, or several Chinese ones...
