Hi langlv, It's nice to hear from someone. There was no activity on this thread for months, so I stopped looking. If you click on my handle, it opens my profile where I listed an email address. If you send me email we can exchange files up to a few megabytes. For the BIOS image, download the tool I posted a link for, put the BIOS image into a Zip or Rar archive, and attach it to an email to me. For the disk image there are a few issues: (1) I think I can use Gmail to make a virtual disk and load a 3GB disk image, then give you a link. I haven’t done this before. If you know of instructions for doing this, email me a link to then. When I have the image online, I'll email you a link. (2) You will need a tool to write the image to your new hard drive. To do it on the scope, you need a self-booting tool that works on you D810 motherboard an supports the 3GB disk image. I think the HD Clone tool I listed will do this but you have to buy it and it’s expensive. (3) I would attach the new hard disk to a PC, make an active partition, format the partition in FAT32, and write the disk image. I listed some tools for use with a PC like Clonezilla (https://clonezilla.org/downloads.php). Tell me what tool you want to use. Regards, |

I have both a TDS5054 and a TLA5052 (?) which is being shipped. Both of them use the same MOBO unfortunately which is the older variant. I started another thread about replacing the CPU board (Tektronix euphemism for plain old motherboard to save time and money). https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/help-with-replace-tektronix-tla5000tds5000-motherboard/msg5172882/#msg5172882 |
