SVA1032X Normalize Option Not Available
« on: July 13, 2021, 03:14:28 am »
I have a new Siglent SVA 1032X and I can't seem to normalize the instrument.

For example, when checking some attenuators with the unit in SA mode, Port 1 connected to Port 2, TG "On" and set from 100kHz to 3.2GHz, TG Level -20dBm, Offset 0, Reference Level 0, Reference Position 100%, The Normalize On/Off option is grayed out as is the Reference Trace Option.  I can't seem to figure out how to enable these options to complete the measurement.  I have gone through this several times and have downloaded and followed the document on this very measurement from Siglent's website and I can't get past this step.  What am I missing?

Regards

Store Ref.

When you store a Ref trace the Normalize button ceases to be greyed out.
This you must do. Normalize is done against the stored reference trace which is your current settings and should you change settings a Uncal warning gets displayed.

tautech:

Thank you so much! That's what I was missing; it's working perfectly now.
