Title: Tektronix THS 7xx battery mods ?

Posting some pictures of how I modified a THS 710 STD that has been sold since.

Just got hold of a THS 720A I should be holding onto for a while. Of course the battery is dead... This time I'm thinking of a couple of 26650A Li-Ion cells that would keep the scope running for hours, the downside is that means added electronics.

I'd like to hear if anyone has gone to more trouble than just swapping for Ni-MH.

I found this over on Thingiverse. I contacted the designer about the electronics inside, but he hadn't designed them yet. Shouldn't be too hard.
