Tektronix TLA700 Logic Analyzer to decode serial buses (I2C, SPI, etc)?

Greetings forum.

I was about to order a new oscilloscope that can decode serial buses like I2C, SPI, etc when I remembered that I have
an old Tektronix TLA700 Logic Analyzer. Has anyone used this (or similar Tek ca 1998) to effectively decode serial buses?

The software in this instrument is W98 and I t h i n k there was an appnote somewhere that it could also run on W2000.

What say the expertise?
