Hi, just bought a few of the rare 152-0177-02 tek tunnel diodes.
They're obvious pulls, is there a simple way to check them if they're any good?
I don't have a curve tracer, tried a simple check with 100 \$\Omega\$ resistor and 100Hz ramp signal from function gen (https://hackaday.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/nr-curve-tracer_had.png)
From here : https://hackaday.com/2019/05/08/fun-with-negative-resistance-jellybean-transistors/
But all I get is a straight line like resistors :-//
Afraid to damage the quasi unobtanium diodes, can anyone suggest a better circuit to test them?

Ramp like resistor and current over 10mA is reached.
Sadly, it is dead.
Tunneldiode doesn't like good long high current about peak current . This is a notice.

Hello the TDs are available on epay occasionally new packages or Chinese copies or Russian equivalent
NEVER USE a func gen 50 ohms without a 1 k series resistance
Use a positive only ramp no negative!
Read up on TD precautions and testing first.
Even a microsecond of overload kills them, eg static electricity.
Handle with static precautions
