Tenma Oscilloscope Manuals
« on: July 20, 2015, 07:32:23 pm »
I've recently found a Tenma 72-740 oscilloscope that I'm thinking about purchasing, but I want to learn a few things about it before I get it. The problem is that I can't find a manual for it (probably because I don't know any good manual archives). Does anyone know where I could get the manual? (Or maybe a website to look for it at?) Thanks  :-+

Is it this one?

It sure looks a lot like a Philips scope, maybe a PM3209.

Not terribly helpful as I can't seem to find a free manual for it either.

:-// That's quite odd. Especially since that's the pic from the eBay auction.

That was the first one to come up when I searched for it.

I'd stay away personally just because they said they don't have a power cable that fits it, but they assume it works. Everyone has at least one IEC power cable laying around. I wouldn't consider it worth the cost of shipping without seeing it power on.

This is a 40Mhz Hung Chang 5504 that may be re-branded as a Beckman Industries 9104 or Protek 5504; or else with black faceplate as a Philips PM-3209 or Tenma 72-740.  HC is also made in in 20, 60, and 100 Mhz versions. See my other post under "Hung Chang 5504" for support info.
