Well, as already stated it came out in 1997, 150MHz bandwidth, was available with 2, 4, 6 or 8 channels and had a sample rate of 500MSa/s (half-channel) and 200MSa/s (all channels). I think 1M memory was standard, with up to 16M as option. There also was an MSO option.

Any reason you want this particular scope? Unless it's really cheap and/or you need more than 4 channels on a small budget I'm not sure I would buy this scope. These scopes were designed pretty much as long-term multi-channel recorders, and the update rate is generally poor (single digit updates/s). And if something breaks, getting spares is pretty much impossible.

I wouldn't rule out getting spares. I bought a DL1740 last year and much to my surprise it was very easy to obtain new custom ASIC front end amplifier chips.

There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Let's give it a value: $150 at most (in working condition with all probes, etc.)

The photo appears to be from this eBay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/262261015873

At that price? No way. Definitely not.

I don't think $150 is realistic, more like $300 to $500 for a working scope in good condition.

I agree, especially when considering this hasn't really been tested, there is a issue with some buttons and that the LCD screen looks very dim.

Those are some decent specs for a 1997 digital scope.

Yes, indeed. The sample rate is a bit low, but the large memory and 32bit MSO was quite unique back then. If I remember right it also comes with decent statistics, large memory FFT and history mode.
