Test Equipment Anonymous (TEA) group therapy thread
Specmaster:
I used to be a regular visitor to the Belling / Creda factory and a few of the others round when I was a technical sales engineer for Crabtree Electrical on their motor control gear division, they used to run all their machines using Crabtree controls, as did Matchbox, London Rubber, Mc Vities, and many OEM's and the BBC used it like it was going out of fashion, but most of these sites are new retail parks or housing estates, sad days indeed.

Reference oscillator and mixer working. This allows me to do frequency comparison of the reference oscillator and a signal generator.
Simple bit of kit really, especially now it is devoid of tubes. Left to right: colpitts oscillator ~140KHz, buffer, attenuator, mixer (diff amp). Yes I know it's on a breadboard - will deal with the problems associated with that later on :)

That's neat. It sure got small with those "modern" components. ;D
