Well what a coincidence, I also used to own a racing green Cortina Mk1 with the "Ban The Bomb" rear rights, just like the one in these stock pictures. Looked a million dollars, had just been completely resprayed and all the chrome was restored and the interior was showroom fresh but the engines was a real turd the only time it go over 40mph was downhill. I had to fight the dealer to get the engine replaced, they tried everything in the book to cure it first but in the end they had to to do it as they had ran out of ideas. This was many years ago when we had the fuel crisis in the 70's and I was looking for something a bit easier on fuel then gas guzzler I was driving at the time, it was a lovely Vanden Plas 3 Litre automatic, around 18mpg  :palm:

And here is the Vanden Plas, except mine was all black, absolutely gorgeous car, had been chauffeur driven all its life prior to me buying it.

That was a proper Cortina. Mine was a mk4. Best feature it had was the bird shit mural on the roof.

Haha, never tried that, but I know that one of those electronic bug zapping bats fucks them all right, reminds of one of those classic carry on films with the smell they make while being electrocuted, frying tonight!

Full circle to tea, stick a probe on a scope and stick it on 5mV/div then zap something with one of them in the room. So much RFI!

The Mk4 was a better riding car than the Mk1, that was bloody bone shaker.
