Surprised at how the cable stood upto the rising voltage there as well, it certainly out performed the bloody kettle thats for sure. Boiled urine, urgh make you feel like puking just thinking of it let alone actually smelling it. :-DD

I remember my younger days in the NE US and visiting people whose pets had urinated on hot, hot water radiators. That was pretty disgusting. Can't imagine the smell of boiled urine.

Gee whiz....if we find ourselves talking about hot piss then we might be running out of things to discuss. Let me see if I can get it back on track.
One thing my bench always lacked was adequate pin point light. I solved that a few weeks ago with the light on the right. Purchased from AliExpress for a reasonable price of $14.74 USD and fulfilled from some One-hung-low company. Free shipping and no sales tax. Surprisingly it origin scanned not in China but in California. But it did take a week and a half to go cross country here to NY. They must have used pony express. Anyway, it is well built. Adjusts easy and holds its position. Of course no UL or CSA approval stickers but what Chinese stuff does? I'm impressed.
So impressed that I bought another one. It's on the left. I ordered it Sunday and it arrived today. That one origin scanned in New Jersey! Strange. The picture really doesn't do it justice. It is really bright. All the other lights, except the desk light in rear, are off. The bulbs are 800 lumen, 5K LED. We call that 60 watt equivalent here. So at last my lighting issues are solved.

That looks pretty damn cool actually. Cooler than boiled piss.
Need to revisit my bench lighting as the wun hung lo led strip I’m using has gone dicky. Thinking about designing some PCBs for modular LED strips with two strips of LEDs so I have two brightness control options. Can’t use PWM due to the RFI it kicks off.
med6753:
I don't have room for under shelf strip lighting unless I move all that equipment. But it wouldn't be effective anyway because the shelf is recessed too far back.
med6753:
Speaking of RFI....someone in my apartment complex has one or more of those damn touch brightness adjustable lamps. Those things should be banned for all the RFI they emit. Makes the AM band, and most of the SW bands, unlistenable.
