That calculator was replaced on warranty. Amazon just sent another one out and told me to throw that one away.

I look at it this way. If you have to count your counters, DMM's, oscilloscopes, etc it is the first step towards admitting that you have a problem.

This is a good deal. A 2445 with a P6046 Differential probe. It does appear that the beam find is stuck on which is no big deal to fix.

Unfortunately it's way down in mid New Jersey and just a little too far.

I must admit that I was surprised to discover it was a Casio, I thought you was a HP man, mind you though, you could get 10 of the Casio's for the same money.

The keys on the 50G are more man sized so the keyboard may last longer as a result of fewer wrong keys pressed and then right one pressed in anger?

Just ordered so 99.9% Isopropyl Alcohol from Amazon because it was available on Prime and also some squeezy bottles to dispense it with, all was in stock and now I have an email telling me that the bottles will be here tomorrow and the Isopropyl on Friday???  Thought Prime was free next day delivery

Not always next day. Depends on where you are and which warehouse it was from. Some stuff comes from EU and some from UK. Down here most stuff turns up 6-8pm same day which is nice.

Problem with 50g is it eats batteries (ARM CPU) and I can never remember how to use anything but the basic functions. You can fudge through the Casio easily.

Edit: the 50g has three manuals, two of which are 1000+ pages of reference and programming info. It’s a fully blown computing environment really.

And my Girlfriend didn't come back with a fuse, but she DID blow a fuse when I asked her if she had one. We got married.

Never could get over finding out that pi²=G=10 wasn't true. Never had any problem thinking 1+2*3=9.

I have a Sinclair Scientific that almost works as designed. I also have an HP35 in a mahogany case, and a couple of special edition HP32Ss. But most frequently I use an HP15 emulation running under Wine

For anything more, I use spreadsheets and Python/Java/whatever as appropriate.

Well that was painful but it's done and it works. About 6 months ago my ISP started charging $10/month for rental of their cable modem. Well, screw that. I bought my own modem and they can shove theirs. But they certainly don't make it easy to register the MAC address even on line but you bastards I figured it out.    It works fine and my speed is same as before. 

Now I can finally go get some sleep.

Yep, I like TI calcs, I have somewhere around a 55 III, 58C, 30, 81, 85, Business Analyst, and I think maybe a 84 along with a few others from Sharp, Sinclair, Casio etc. Its an early form of GAS and TEA for me

I had the same thing for a few years as well. I actually a little niche business going buying lots of TI83's at the start of summer when all the students were getting rid of them and the market was saturated for between £6-10 a pop, tidying them up and selling for £40 buy it now at the end of summer. I think I sold nearly 80 one year
