It's pretty easy to make one. That may happen yet :)  The whole thing is basically half a frequency compensated divider network. 1M with same capacitance as the scope across it (trimmed). Actually might be worth building a termination and that compensation network into a pomona box (I have a couple of spare ones). You just trim it for least ringing / best shape on a square wave like a scope probe.

A point to watch is to ensure the capacitor's dielectric doesn't change with applied voltage. I had that problem despite it being a low value and allegedly C0G. When I replaced the cap with an air-dielectric trimmer (from a hamfest, 'natch), the problem disappeared.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
Glider pilot's aphorism: "there is no substitute for span". Retort: "There is a substitute: skill+imagination. But you can buy span".

Good point. Thanks for the tip. I have some very crap TH C0G capacitors (Suntan brand) floating around. I've got some better Vishay chip ones and a few Philips trimmers which are incredibly stable (have used them in near zero drift VFOs). Will try those first.

They are my design and drawings when I get some more Zzzz after talking to the 4.30am possum with a large stick I will zip them up and post them and the stl's. I also dremeled the base out of the rear section for more depth.
It's a regular? Is your area on a 30min or hourly interval?

The little ringtails are fine its the Brushy tails like we 'gave you' that are the issue. Protected and solid enough to take on cats and even small dogs and fairly intelligent.

The Victorian laws are BS you can trap them but have to release them no more than 100m away (purpose is so you can get them out of buildings) |O In a double brick place I used to rent in Melbourne they would lift a tile on the roof and sleep in the wall cavity after they had had a noisy barney. In the end I moved as the owner wasn't going to sort the roof out.

Selective urban culling by licensed operators should be allowed for this species as they don't do well being relocated either.

Not any of the many mongrels I've had over the years....they all loved warm possum !  >:D

Cats yeah well that's another thing and you're right most won't tangle with one however the SO's childhood cat apparently would regularly deal to them but maybe only the freshly jousted juveniles.

Awesome! I understand all too well about lack of sleep the last few days. Allergies have been kicking my scaly dwagon arse; I feel like I've got the freaking flu.  |O

*p00t!*

As it was a one off thing for me fairly much I didn't save the variations for the taller buckets and have deleted the STL's too. The short single ones fit the front 8 so I have included the Fusion 360 drawings for it and the big multi bucket for the left hand side and the STL's for both in the zip. Would be best if you opened up the Fusion drawings and checked the dimensions/tweak anyway before printing them. Nice simple project to play with and tweak on Fusion 360 if you haven't used it before.

For example the spanner bucket (in the earlier post) is just offset taller version of the single bucket and I left the curved bit off rather than a new file.

Side view roughly shows what I modded with the dremel and file (rough as guts) and also added an acrylic floor under the entire thing. The floor is optional but makes moving it easier if needed to stop the buckets dropping down.

What, the possums or the owners?  :-DD

What you've got over there is actually kindof cute... no wonder they're protected. What we have is opossums; basically what looks like a mentally-defective, foul-tempered, cat-sized rat with mange, that someone started to shave it and decided the damned thing was better off dead, but then couldn't be arsed to put up with the stink long enough to put it out of its misery.  :o

It's like... the Danny DeVito of the varmint world.  :palm:

I'm thankful for you taking the time, but as I'm pretty much a migraine-suffering basket case at the moment, I'll download that and save it for when I'm actually marginally functional.    :o

Except when wearing their heavy shoes at night on the roof the Brush tallied possum is twice the weight of your puny opossums.

Not everything is bigger in Texas (unfortunately)  :horse:

I would be more specific but one reveals me to be a dirty old man and the other reveals me to have to much rubbish or the third possibility is both are true  :-DD

No not at all. Those interlocking mats are quite nice.
I told my friends I could teach them to be funny, but they all just laughed at me.

I dunno.  the camera an Photog setup one right side of the screen looks pretty sweet.

As far as the girl, Naaaa.  I hate high maintenance equipment.

I can barely afford my own electronics hobby.  Let alone the stuff she uses.

Her vids are fun to watch sometimes.  She posts on here now and then.

No I suspect I am me even after going and looking in the room full of mirrors  ;D

I prefer her more techie stuff in spite of the obvious eye candy, she also posted today a down to earth and fair review of a 3D printer from Creality who she openly receives money from but managed to balance both sides fairly well.

Also from Today's youtube feed. Think this dates from the early 80's and still relevant  :-DD

I'm sure you all remember my failed 5340A, don't ya? Works in every aspect except for this one annoying problem i could never quite find except to narrow it down to one board which i subsequently lost (oops). Anyone remember this besides me? Well i just bought another nixie tube 5340 shown working at least well enough to not have the same problem, it has however a tag claiming
But that doesn't phase me because i already have a working (i think) one of those and this one failed calibration in '07, instead of '87.

He wanted $142 shipping included to start with, i offered him the silly low sum $100 shipping included and he took it. From all evidence i've seen shipping on this is about $30-50 meaning that for once i got a ridiculously low price.

Fully working
$200 = i'll be eating dust and driving on fumes the next two weeks.
For parts led, not showing if it exhibits the bad problem or what if any problems it has,
$150 = If it works it works regardless i'll be eating ramen the next two weeks.
75% working neon, showing it doing the opposite of my problem with a named issue as to why it failed calibration,
$100 = At this price i'll be able to keep the shirt on my back!
