Just spoke to my Seller friend and they said that a Seller can specify limits themselves - so if this offer of yours was on an item of a Seller from whom you've already bought from (or have offers submitted), you may have hit one of their safeguard limits.  Might be worth contacting the Seller to check.

Makes sense, I was sending the offer to the same person that had the PM6303 auction going that I was also bidding on. Thanks mate

need this part if anyone has it. Fluke 33x series Voltage STD. specifically for the Fluke 332B, but the PCB is similar across the 33X units. If i cannot find one, I will get one made from JLCPCB I guess.

I sent the seller of an 8664A RF generator a message on Monday and not a peep so far. Guess they aren't in a big hurry...[edit] so neither am I! I'm saving for inverted's bird wattmeter collection now.

@mnem, take a look at the Citizen range of dress watches and you'll see that they are really slim and in Titanium cases are also extremely lightweight and  with eco drive never need another battery or at least not until something goes wrong with them.

I prefer a pocket watch, actually i can't stand a wristwatch at all.

Really I'm after a working unit. I have an 8567A RF generator but it doesn't do sweeping, and that's some thing that may come in handy for future radio projects.

Get this shit: I tried to send an offer to an Ebayer for an HP PSU and eBAY said,

" YOU HAVE REACHED YOUR BUYING LIMIT. WE PLACE LIMITS ON BUYERS WHO APPEAR TO HAVE PURCHASED TOO MANY ITEMS AS WE FEEL YOU MAY NEED A CHANCE TO REVIEW YOUR PURCHASES."

That my friends is T.E.A :-DD >:D true story, just happened.
You simply can't make this sh!t up.   |O :-DD

Dude... I've bought cars off eBay... multiple, using other people's money... and NEVER got that.  :o

When eBay thinks you are in need of an intervention... you know your shit's fucked up.  :-DD

I just won a PM6303A, but I think a (5) feedback bidder hustled the price up by $50, so I am hoping the seller will delete the bad bids and let me get it fair cost. Still waiting to see.
I would be very surprised if they did that.  It's those extra bids that make sellers happier to offer stuff.  Also, your winning bid is still going to be an amount that you were prepared to pay.

This is also the reason why "sniping" is popular.  It limits the time other bidders have to react to whatever bids you place.

Hey... we were all Feedback (5) bidders once. If all that feedback is positive, could very well be they're really either new or just not interested in but a few things on eBay. I've gone years at a time without buying or selling a single thing there; that doesn't invalidate my 500+ Positive feedback.  ;)

As for sniping... I see it as just leveling the playing field. If you wanna win against the professional eBayers, you gotta step up your game and use the same tools they use. Plus, it saves you the agony of "Knock at the door, missed my auction" blues.  :palm:

I believe big ticket items, such as cars, run under rules appropriate to their value.

I'll be up all night (again) trying to talk to my friends across the globe and sale some of this gear. Feel free to hit me up or make silly jokes to make the times pass. I am going to be itemizing these old caps and making sure I get the specs right so I can order a few sets. I have 7 of these Fluke 33x units here so I going to make the best of it and create a nice catalog with HI RES pics. I also have to pack up a few units and get them ready to roll tomorrow. I forgot about the 'Leader SIG GEN' last time, but it will go out tomorrow with the other gear, my bad mate.

How much? The 8672A I'm ambivalent on because I have dibs on one (along with a beautifully kept 8566B) from a guy I've bought some things from already, but that 8640B looks nice!

Indeed. I lacked some for years and it was a major handicap. I had some cheap ones and they were all knackered in days. Total waste of money.

Fortunately a bit of luck turned up and I was working in a long contract ending two years ago and I got given some happy birthday Amazon e-vouchers for £50 a go once a year. Figured I'd blast them on something before SWMNLBO spent them on some old shit so I bought myself a nice roll of Wera Kompact drivers two years in a row. Literally the best purchase ever other than lighting. Lighting and screwdrivers make everything good. I got the "Kompact" sets because I was doing a lot of work in datacentres at the time. Plus the bits can be stuck in my drill/electric screwdriver and used that way.

I've added a big ass flat blade and a 1/4" nut spinner and this has got me into everything test gear related (and more!) so far

Also got a box of sockets but that's in the car at the moment. Really should bring them in incase some pikey sod nicks them.

Edit: also buy Wera stuff on Amazon. It dumps in price occasionally. Both those sets were less than £30 a go.

I like the KraftForm handle; I've got some Husky screwdrivers that are evidently a clone of that design, and they're definitely a superior grip.  :-+

Did you buy that set of precision screwdrivers as-is, or start with the $38 Kraftform 12-piece set and add a couple individuals? I couldn't find a 14-piece set anywhere.  :-//

I was also looking at the 60-bit set of 3 1/2" long x 1/4" Hex drive screwdriver like yours... even at $80 it's a helluva deal.

Both are in my wish list for now... I will revisit later.

Dude... TE is every bit as expensive as most cars sold on eBay. Also a lot more portable. USUALLY.  :-DD

Hewlett Packard Rear Feet - Suits Aluminum Cased 5300 series instruments and a bunch of others.

No where else to place it in particular so here it is. I already had an old 5381A 80Meg counter missing the rear foot and I have added another two toys with the same foot design. One had a stub left and the other was already cracked as per the photo. So I rolled a 3D replacement for the three of them. 0.2 Layer and made fine for the top (foot bit) of the print @ 0.1mm with 30% infill. Printed as you see it with supports off the bed to maintain strength around the holes when tightened down.

Still a little more cleanup to so on it but it fits and does what it needs to. Also interesting it is the rear that fails not the fronts would be more stressed because of the bail :-//

STL File is in the ZIP

Reminds me I must print another Fuktopus for a mate of mine  >:D

Could have made it a bit more cosmetically pleasing with a 0.1mm layer height for the whole job but no one sees the underside of their own meters in use let alone anyone else looking at the front end.
