50 ohm inputs on both channels fixed.  :-+ But the 1M input both channels still low gain. That will be tomorrow's to do.

I guess I'm going to have to do a re-cap of the PSU. For now just do the tants. A full re-cap of the PSU including the electrolytics runs over $60 USD.  :phew:

There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.

Most depressing use of ArcGIS ever  :-DD

On a knob mission tonight for the PM3217...

Printing first one now  :scared:

Edit: also bought a new fancy switch the other day. It's a diddy little barnacle one you can stick to the radio (and doesn't weigh over 1Kg).

I never could get the hang of the paddle; straight key was hard enough.  |O

Scary part is... there's 5 confirmed cases in all of the Americas... and one of 'em is less than 20 kliks away from me.  :scared:

Or it could be that release of radioactive material at Pickering GTA nuclear power plant "that never happened"... :o

Been soak testing the PL320 ... require 1 knob cap ... part number Cliff CL1764 K21

Thank you so much for posting that part number! After a quick eBay search and some waiting, my PL320 has never looked better!

Looking good  :-+. You can actually get the shorting bars from Aim-TTI I think. Min order was £5 so that means buying a lot of them. I was going to buy 100 or so and ebay them for a cranked up price  :-DD

Paddle is cool as it does the spacing for you. Takes a while to learn though and I fudge it all the time I'm a lazy fucker so it's good enough :-DD

Don't think we've had any cases here yet. Everyone was cleared. I live in the disease "hot zone" i.e. local to the largest national airport. Everyone works there here. Ugh.

First attempt - shaft hole fractionally too small. Opened up by 0.2mm. This is why it's better to do it at home than order it  :-DD

I dunno... 3 cases in France. That's a bit close for comfort... :o

mnem
I swear... it was just precaution! Nothing at all to do with the fact it was the French...  ;)

You can do 3D with ArcGIS? I need to talk to my wife.

Also: figured I'd ask here first. Anyone from the Houston, TX area that would be interested in a paying job? Either paying in cool stuff or paying in cold hard cash, all fine by me.. If you have a thrustworthy friend or relative, that works too..

May have found the immediate problem, but that near-break in the wire loom at the bottom looks mighty risky to me!

I didn't even notice that. Thanks. The wire is OK, just some insulation char. It wasn't me. That pix was taken before I removed the parts.

Thanks, the two missing end caps were bugging me, but I had no idea that they could still be purchased, much less what to search for. I think I hit the "Buy" button within seconds of reading Specmaster's post.

I couldn't find the shorting bars on Aim-TTI's web site, so I just looked at my local metal supplier. I can get half a metre of 3mm x 15mm pure copper plate for less than a fiver, so I reckon I'll just make some new bars myself. Maybe I'll even give my "engraving" machine a challenge and see if I can mill some!

Fuck you very cordially. ;) A year ago, sure. No longer there now of course.  :P

Thrustworthy...? ehhh... nope. Not even with a borrowed dick and someone else pushing. :scared:

And no, I don't know ANYONE in Houston I'd trust as far as I could sling a piano... that's half the reason I'm not there anymore. :palm:
