Yes, they would just about fit in with a bit of fettling between the vertical pair as you will see from attached drawing. Where did you find these ones?

These have been sitting in my junk box for I think 40 years now :) You can have them if you PM me your address but I will only be able to sent them next week.

You limeys better take good care of this summitch; he’s a fucking national treasure.  :-DD

And he was the only part of Top Gear that I could tolerate. May is a phenomenon, the other two just fools.

They're still stumbling across UXB's occasionally, especially in Germany. I haven't heard of any being found in the UK recently.

The Germans did not do much in terms of time-delay bombs, and more importantly did them with clockworks, whereas UK and USA were quite eager to drop them and they used acetone-on-celluloid delays. I've just binge-watched a couple of German shows on the subject the other week. US 500lb or 1000lb HE bombs with chemical time delay fuzes are the usual culprit.

He starts right out with a brief overview including defusing a UXB,......snip.

And uhhh... don’t git any on ya.

They're still stumbling across UXB's occasionally, especially in Germany. I haven't heard of any being found in the UK recently.

It's so common in the UK that it rarely makes the national news.

There was a 500 kg WWII UXB found in Dean Street, Soho, London back on Feb 3rd. Found by builders excavating just before 2PM, removed safely by 9PM - the speed and efficiency is an indication of how much practice the bomb squad gets at this sort of thing. You've got to be pretty slick to get a 500kg, ~80 year old UXB dealt with and the cordons coming down in less than 7 hours after you get the phone call.

Officers were called to a building site near Dean Street in Soho at 1.42pm after reports of the suspected explosive device.
...
A Royal Engineers bomb disposal unit was called in and removed the half-tonne device.

Shortly after 8.30pm, the Metropolitan Police's Soho team said the cordons in Oxford Street, Charing Cross Road, Shaftesbury Avenue, Lexington Street and Poland Street had been lifted.

Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

Get loads here. Doesn't always work out too well. Kingston last year they managed to put everyone's windows out and blow up a couple of cars  :palm: :palm:

So that must be tant or rifa fuses :)

Just in the region of Germany I live in (NRW) there are almost 3,000 WWII Bombs found per year (2018 was 2,811). The time needed to remove them tends to depend on the condition of the bomb (how rusted it is) and the position and angle of the bomb. Some are gone within an hour or two and some take an entire day to remove.

I'm flogging some stuff on fleabay, and a potential purchaser contacted me. He has chosen to make all his feedback "private", which means I can see that they are all positive, but the comments and items bought are hidden.

So, what's the benefit to hiding feedback?

* Stops a 3rd party systematically tracking what you've bought?
* Keeps your niche porn and sex toy purchases private?
* Covers the clash between you being a 50 yr old single man who's buying a lot of women's clothing in size 22 and women's shoes in size 9?
* Every other purchase is something "My Little Pony" related? (Checks ebay ... it's OK ... well known seller of test gear Mr Smith doesn't have lots of feedback for My Little Pony stuff :-) )

So nothing reputable, then.

Are you sure you have spotted all Mr Smith's aliases?
