At least Med appreciated the effort.   ;D

And at least you recognize that the curtains are brown......not pink.  |O ;D

Hey, you posted the picture with pink curtains, don't go blaming everybody else!

Low Tech Hi-Tek solution to printer monitoring: as in "I have this baby-cam lying around to watch the kids in the back yard; might as well sic it on my 3DP when I go to bed with a print job running."

Yeah, I know... wooden table, cardboard enclosure...  I totes need to get it up on a paving stone like my old one for safety's sake. And build a proper enclosure. At least I did put a smoke defector in there with it. :o

Mailman will bring a Siglent SDG1010 to my door  8)
found it on the our local ebay... contacted the guy  and got a nice deal.. almost like new... lets see how it really looks when it arrives.

i have seen some trick if you load in a csv it sould go to 50 Mhz... any of you know more tricks/hacks for it?  :-/O

Thanks!

Pictures coming.....

[edit] @tautech or @rf-loop  .. do you have some magic firmware ?  ;D ;D     (cat in booth look)
Had a SDG1010 as my first AWG and they were fanless whereas 25 & 50 MHz models did.
Not sure I'd wanna hack the 1010 unless you fitted a fan to it.
Don't know the hack process for these Tony but have a hunt through the SDG1000/SDG800 thread.

Good basic AWG but without many of the features of the later X models.

Busy as hell today being an enabler and thank gawd it's drawing to a close as tiring but nice to get away overseas  :P to Waiheke island (ferry ride) where one of our dear friends had a knees up for her 60th. Some further time killed dropping in on Tony that bought a SA from us a few weeks ago. (thanks mate for a great afternoon....hic  )

Anyways, all caught up now but nearly time to hit the scratcher and expecting to be 3 pages behind again by the morning.  :horse:

Yeah see comment about that being fixed. The quadrature oscillator is quite difficult to get two nice sine waves out of it with crap opamps and a diode clamp network so you have to trim it carefully for best shape hence the trimmer on the top which was stuck on as an afterthought to control the network feedback  :-DD. This thing has to be calibrated so:

1. Break X and Y position oscillators out of circuit.
2. Trim for oscillation and best ball shape
3. Reconnect X and Y position oscillators.

I'm adding links to the PCB design so you can just jumper those out. You can just short the oscillator opamps to ground but it's a bit nasty and some opamps don't like being shorted.

BD139-CAD is very fine with me :)

Not this time. It's completely illegible and spread across several sheets  :-DD

A ground lead would not make any difference with the 1422-D capacitor, there is nothing to connect it to. One side of the capacitor is connected to the case (the third terminal is for athe 115pF range) which is driven at 4kHz with the meter I'm using.
When I get round to setting my small lathe up I'll male a better one.
What is the interior diameter of the copper sleeve? I'm asking because I wonder whether 4/13 would fit. Those are shielded banana plugs with a 13mm (I.D.) shield and BNC adaptors of that type are fairly common over here.

That is the DIN 19-262? They are used on PH meters and the like. THey look like thay would fit and were probably developed from an attempt to shield binding posts. I can't find a 4-13 to BNC adaptor though.

EDIT Found one by Telegartner j01008a0802
https://www.conrad.com/p/telegartner-j01008a0802-coax-adapter-bnc-socket-413-plug-1-pcs-1366909
€26 is a OK, but I've made one now  ::)

It is a rugby ball.

I was going to complain about the physics of the bounce, before I realised that it was a perfectly elastic collision on a frictionless surface.
There are lies, damned lies, statistics - and ADC/DAC specs.
